We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be hosting the launch the West Yorkshire Finance and Professional Skills report commissioned by Luminate Education Group in partnership with West Yorkshire Colleges and Whitecap Consulting.

FE Colleges in West Yorkshire have collaborated to enhance finance and professional services skills in West Yorkshire.

The Digital Innovation – FinTech project, funded by the UK Government’s Local Skills Improvement Funding (LSIF), seeks to address current and future skill priorities in the region and is a direct response to the recommendations of the Yorkshire and Humber Financial and Professional Services Skills Commission.

The partnership led will specifically contribute to the development of new courses and curriculum to meet the evolving demands of the FinTech sector.

The project is being led by Luminate Education Group alongside West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges, Calderdale College, Shipley College and the Heart of Yorkshire College Group; all who have received investment for FinTech from LSIF. Together, the colleges will utilise the research to develop new learning opportunities using a suite of new equipment and technology.

The report carries out a comprehensive and in-depth analysis into the talent and skills landscape in West Yorkshire, as well as highlighting a series of recommendations as to how to develop the landscape, foster partnerships and drive economic growth.

Set to take place at Leeds City College’s Printworks Campus on the 14th of May, we can’t wait to bring together employers, students, thought leaders and experts in the field to learn about the current state of skills in FPS in West Yorkshire, with a focus on professional services and financial services, including FinTech and LegalTech.
