FinTech North and University of Bradford Announce Partnership to Drive FinTech Skills Development in the North

FinTech North is proud to announce our Skills Partnership with the University of Bradford, further strengthening our commitment to developing FinTech talent and innovation across the North. As part of this partnership, University of Bradford students will receive access to our flagship paid-for events – helping to open doors, build networks, and foster skills that are crucial to the future of the FinTech sector.

The University of Bradford has long been one of our most engaged academic supporters. Its students consistently demonstrate a deep curiosity about FinTech, actively participating in discussions, asking insightful questions, and showing a strong desire to enhance their understanding of both the Northern and international FinTech landscape.

This collaboration aligns with one of our core strategic pillars: enhancing the supply of FinTech skills in the North. We believe in the power of learning through experience and knowledge tranfer At events, students not only hear from industry leaders and innovators, but also gain invaluable exposure to real-world trends in technology, finance, and the broader economy.

Our events are not just about knowledge-sharing – they’re about connection-building, with networking being one of the things our community values the most. Many life-changing opportunities can begin in the room: through conversations, networking, and new perspectives, and we recognise how invaluable this can be for students and those in the early stages of their FinTech career.

Joe Roche, General Manager, FinTech North: “We are delighted to welcome the University of Bradford as a Skills Partner. Through our partnership we will aim to champion shared missions around inclusive skills development, support a historic and forward-looking university, and celebrate the role of Northern cities like Bradford in positioning the UK as a global centre for FinTech excellence.”
